The Middle East is set to eye the regional launch of Cadillac's first-ever XT4 later this year, as the luxury car maker expands its SUV model range up to three, including the flagship full-size Escalade and the premium mid-size XT5. Revealed globally at Cadillac House in Manhattan earlier this year, the all-new compact SUV exemplifies Cadillac's 10-year expansion plan, leading the brand's product offensive to more than double the number of models available in its lineup over the next four years.
Over the last three years, Cadillac has undergone a significant shift in direction – using sophisticated design, technology and an authentic attitude to appeal to independently minded individuals. Starting with the launch of the first ever XT4 later this year, Cadillac will bring a new model to market every six months – a total of five vehicle lines in the space of just two years.
Developed on an exclusive compact SUV architecture, Cadillac's entry in the industry's fastest-growing luxury segment delivers expressive design, confident performance, spacious accommodations and new technologies. As one of Cadillac's key markets in the world, the Middle East boasts to be an ideal market for the all-new XT4, with the region's overall population comprise a majority of young generation.
Christian Soemmer, Managing Director, Cadillac Middle East, said: “When you purchase a Cadillac, you buy into a brand with a rich history, premium styling and some of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the market today. The XT4 is another example of our 10-year plan coming to life, with our latest reiteration of premium helping us reclaim our position as ‘the standard of the world'.”
“Cadillac's first-ever compact SUV is designed to stand out to the young, upwardly mobile consumer. Naturally, it's also filled with the kind of leading-edge connectivity features that tech-savvy buyers demand.”, Soemmer continued.
Simple and sculpted lines draw the customer in and accentuate the XT4's powerful proportions and aggressive presence. All models feature advanced LED lighting technology front and rear. Cadillac's vertical L-shaped lighting signature is stretched horizontally, emphasizing the XT4's width and confident stance.
In some cases, MDBs can also help provide low-cost finance; blending it with commercial finance would help defray some investment costs and reduce the payback period to investors. This could address some of the obsolescence risks in the solar industry. In specific cases, the overall financing equation could benefit from treating solar energy as a potential export resource from low-income countries to mature economies. One early example is a new transmission link between Italy and Tunisia’s electricity grids, a project being prepared by the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF), housed at the World Bank.
The interior is the Cadillac design aesthetic distilled: the thoughtful and artistic integration of technology and appealing style. The cabin is exceptionally refined, with expected segment-leading rear-seat spaciousness. The new XT4's cabin conveys boldness and strength with youthful athleticism. Sweeping arcs and tapered lines enhance the feeling of spaciousness and give it a taut, tightly wrapped appearance.
he interior elements come together in a sophisticated and modern design. Intuitive technology includes available next-generation wireless device charging and an in-cabin air ionizer. Led by the latest Cadillac user experience, the brand's most advanced infotainment interface, the XT4 offers a connected environment. The Cadillac user experience is a dynamic platform that offers a smartphone-like experience with an intuitive interface, faster response and improved voice.
All XT4 models will be driven by an all-new Cadillac 2.0L Turbo engine, producing an SAE-certified output of 237 hp (177 kW). Coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission with next-generation Electronic Precision Shift, the new engine features new efficiency-enhancing technologies including Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation)
The XT4 will also see the debut of Cadillac's new global “Y” trim strategy, with specific content and styling cues featured on distinctive Premium Luxury and Sport trims, tailored to different customer tastes and preferences. XT4 Sport models feature a gloss black mesh grille inspired by Cadillac's high-performance V-Series models, gloss black window moldings and specific Sport alloy wheel choices. Cadillac will roll out this new trim strategy beginning with the XT4 and the 2019 CT6 top-of-range sedan.
Eight exterior colors will be offered on the 2019 XT4 at launch: Atlantic Metallic, Autumn Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Twilight Blue Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Red Horizon Tintcoat, Stellar Black Metallic and Radiant Silver Metallic.
