Energie confounds COVID to launch new entertainment agency in the UAE

For some companies in the Gulf, the strain of Covid-19 has been too much, and they’ve been forced to either move on or shut their doors completely. However, one entrepreneur is bucking the trend with the launch of Energie Entertainment, a dynamic entertainment agency covering talent booking, show production and entertainment consultancy.

Following the announcement on August 3 that concerts, events, and shows are to open back up in Dubai, the Energie team are more excited than ever about a positive end to 2020. With indoor performances back on the agenda, it’s the perfect time for Energie to deliver truly world-beating entertainment for audiences across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and GCC.

Focusing on the positive

Using their extensive experience and expertise to adapt to the new challenges that the entertainment industry is facing, the Energie team are working hard to come up with new and innovative ways to keep everyone entertained, and safe. Whether it’s magical entertainment for an up and coming festival, or a dance extravaganza for a glitzy gala night, you can see all of Energie’s offerings on www.weareenergie.com.

“It’s a matter of finding a different way of creating the perfect show that entertains, enthrals, but also keeps everyone safe and well,” says Tyler Davis Smith, Founder and CEO of Energie.

“From backstage protocol to keep performers and technicians safe, to putting on shows that audiences will love, we’ve considered just how to adapt our working practices so that we can really put the energy back into the entertainment industry in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and beyond”,  he adds.

A bright future for entertainment in UAE

Various large-scale events have had to either postpone or scale back plans, including the much-anticipated Expo 2020, which has been rescheduled for October 1st 2021 to 31st March 2022. While it’s disappointing that we’re all going to have to wait another year for one of the biggest events of the decade in the UAE, Tyler and the Energie team thinks it’ll be well worth the wait.

“Expo 2020 represents just a fraction of the fabulous events, shows, and extravaganzas coming up over the next few months and years,” he explains. “We’ve recently seen Ai x Restart Dubai at Dubai World Trade Centre, UFC Fight Island -Yas Island and Tomorrowland at Dubai Festival City Arena. With A-listers like Jimmy Carr booked, the new Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi due to open and Dubai Summer Surprises events throughout the calendar, it’s never been a better time to take in a show in the UAE!” he adds.

Saudi Arabia 2030 – the future of the Middle East entertainment industry

Looking further afield and a little ahead is the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030, which will shine the spotlight on the region and put the Middle East at the forefront of the events and entertainment industry for years to come. The concept of sustainability, which is at the core of Saudi Arabia 2030, matches Energie’s own ethos too.

Tyler and the team are eager to get started on a wide range of projects, and are excited at the opportunities on the horizon. “We cannot wait to be a part of the upcoming 2020-2021 season and beyond. We are utterly committed to bringing premium quality entertainment to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and surrounding GCC countries. While Covid-19 may have put the first half of 2020 on hold, the brakes are now off. We’re seeing September 2020 onwards into 2021 as the beginning of a whole new decade of entertainment, extravaganzas, and incredible opportunities.” he concludes.
