It has been almost a year since JP Morgan Asset Management launched its first ETFs in Europe. At that time they were ETFs of fixed income and liquidity, as well as alternative beta. Now, it announces the launch of three new ETFs of equities of active management for next October 16 , which will be listed simultaneously in several European exchanges: (London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Boerse Xetra, Borsa Italiana, SIX Swiss Exchange).

In a market with a lot of potential, with an estimated 30 trillion dollars in assets under management by 2030, JP Morgan Asset Management believes that it is not late to the market and launches these three equity ETFs that seek to correct certain biases that the indexes of reference usually have:

JPM Europe Research Enhanced Index Equity (ESG) UCITS ETF (referenced to the MSCI Europe Index) JPM US Research Enhanced Index Equity (ESG) UCITS ETF (referenced to the S & P 500 Index) JPM Global Research Enhanced Index Equity (ESG) UCITS ETF (referenced to the MSCI World Index) The three new ETFs will offer investors similar portfolios to their respective indices (with a level of risk and construction of the portfolio similar to those of the index they replicate), but, most importantly, they have an added advantage, unlike a “purely passive” investment. These three ETFs will take advantage of the extensive experience of JP Morgan Asset Management and their proven track record in the Research Enhanced Index (REI), through a differentiated process of stock selection based on their own analysis.

The experienced team of equity analysts at JP Morgan Asset Management, which is made up of more than 65 professionals, distributed through all the main financial centers of the world, contributes its vision to the management teams. Using this “informational advantage”, portfolio managers implement small overweights in companies that they consider attractive and underweight those they consider less attractive. As a result, the portfolios maintain the characteristics of the index, while seeking to generate an excess of profitability.

In order to integrate these ESG factors, the new active management ETFs will go one step further, applying an exclusion filter of certain types of companies based on standards and values.

“We are delighted to present the first ESG ETFs of active management equities. It is a novelty that both our customers and the sector were waiting for. These ETFs try to incorporate the best of active and passive management and can play a versatile role in portfolios, such as getting exposure to certain equity markets at an efficient cost, “said Bryon Lake , head of the international business of ETFs at JP Morgan Asset Management.

“After the launch of our first European ETFs, which will be completed one year this November, we now offer solutions in equities, fixed income and alternative. We hope to continue increasing our offer in the coming years with investment strategies of active management, strategic beta and passive management that take advantage of the best investment capabilities of JP Morgan Asset Management “, concluded Lake
