Explore plenty of water fun and more at UAE’s first ever wave pool residence.

For Damac Hills community residents, the month of November was a time to rejoice and be thankful for. Rejoice, because Damac Properties, the Middle East’s leading luxury real estate company, launched the much-awaited Malibu Beach wave pool exclusively for its residents. And thankful, because the ‘in-house beach’ means they can bask in the Californian-Malibu-Bay-themed park in the safety of their homes even as the Covid-19 pandemic isolation protocols are in place.

The only residential community in the UAE to have such a facility, the Malibu Bay beach wave pool is a concept designed to create excitement. And why not when there’s so much gloom hanging all around? The man-made beach is nestled inside the community’s 4 million square foot park and offers residents the pleasures of a beach just a few steps away from their porches.

The sound of the artificially created waves lapping on the sun-kissed sand is a strong attraction that compels one to get into the water for a splash.

At approximately 24,700 square feet, the pool is about one and a half times as big as a professional Hockey rink. So, yes, there’s plenty of water fun in store for you.

Commenting on their latest offering, Niall McLoughlin, senior vice president of Damac says, “Malibu Bay is definitely unique and one of a kind. From a creative standpoint, you really feel like you are in California’s Malibu Bay, with the serene green landscape, palm trees surrounding the wave pool and the graffiti artwork and surfboards integrated into the design.”

Malibu Bay is ideal for a laid-back lifestyle to counter-balance today’s hectic lifestyle. And since travel restrictions around the world means postponing plans for family vacations, Malibu Bay’s California-vintage staycation is definitely a timely alternative.

The over 72,000 square foot Malibu Bay area is fully equipped with amenities for all ages such food and beverage options, with several food trucks to choose from, as well as recreational amenities such as table tennis and splash park for kids to enjoy. Residents will be able to access the beach pool for free. The Park in Damac Hills also boasts a skate park, a horse stable, an ice rink, a petting zoo, a dog park, as well as several lakes where residents can actually fish. The park also features an events area where the community management team of DAMAC Hills regularly organises family-oriented events such as a food and handicrafts market, movie screenings and other fun activities.
