The CIO50 Middle East awards ceremony was held virtually in February 2021 as part of this year’s IDC Middle East CIO Summit, where a large number of nominees from across industries and the region were narrowed down to 50 winners. Nominees were evaluated based on three core pillars; innovation, leadership, and resiliency. The CIO50 Middle East awards were launched to honor transformational, inspiring, and enduring IT Executives and their teams, who succeeded in spurring growth and introducing technological innovations across their organisation, especially in spite of the challenges and volatility brought upon by the pandemic during the past year.
