SAUDIA Airlines fleet to get boost from Boeing Services

SAUDIA airlines and Boeing enters an agreement pact, wherein the latter will be offering a suite of services for a boost up for the 787 Dreamliner and 777 fleets. By accessing Boeing’s suite services, SAUDIA-Saudi Arabia’s premier carrier will be enhancing operational productivity via digitalized analytics, as well as have an all upgraded 777 cabin interiors.

As per the firm’s statement, SAUDIA is in contention for utilization of the Boeing’s Optimized Maintenance Program (OMP), utilizing the advanced data analytics for offering comprehensive insights for effective maintenance operations, and Boeing’s Airplane Health Management (AHM) digital solution.

The firm also stated that, applying predictive maintenance, analytics and the diagnostic tools for aiding quality improvement, dexterity of the maintenance decisions, lead to upsurged on-time performance.

SAUDIA CEO, Captain Ibrahim S. Koshy, stated that, “As ever, SAUDIA is continuously focused on operational efficiency, optimal fleet utilization, and deployment. We see our continued alliance with Boeing and these essential services as an enabler that will help to drive our progress toward this vision.”

Ted Colbert, president and CEO, Boeing Global Services, stated that, “Our Boeing consulting teams have partnered closely with SAUDIA for many years to find new opportunities to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency. We are delighted to continue this partnership by applying our advanced digital solutions.”

He further commented stating “Similarly, SAUDIA will be able to rely on our 777 interiors engineering expertise throughout the course of their fleet reconfiguration plans.”

As per Boeing’s statement, it will be aiding the services that would get amalgamated with firm’s OEM engineering, consulting expertise. SAUDIA also added that, Boeing’s interior modification team will partner with firm for delivering all aspects of their 777 modification, comprising of the design, certification, and the supply of parts required for completion.
