Voice for Bharat announced on 17 May will be Organised by the Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Chingari Audio. The inaugural edition of Voice for Bharat 2022 will discuss how the advent of newly emerging voice-based interactions in the digital space is fast gaining traction as the adoption of voice & speech recognition technologies attract mainstream appeal. With 43% of the Indian population currently using the Internet, and lack of ease in usability & language barriers impeding adoption, emerging voice-based technologies, which are at the forefront in assisting enterprises digitally empower tomorrow’s users, hold promise in bridging the digital divide.
Overview
Traditionally, the channel of digitalisation has encompassed conventional text-based communication. However, the advent of newly emerging voice-based interactions as a medium of expression in the digital sphere is fast gaining traction. Adoption of voice & speech recognition technologies has gained mainstream appeal given its contact-less nature, ease & convenience.
In the Indian context, 43% of the Indian population currently uses the Internet, with ease of usability & language barriers impeding adoption. In this regard, Voice holds much promise in bridging this digital divide.
