Tysers, a leading, independent Lloyd’s broker, has welcomed Souvik Goswami as Director, Reinsurance, to its Dubai office as it strengthens its presence, products and client services across MENA and wider markets.

Souvik has joined Tysers from Ed Broking where he was responsible for developing Treaty business and client relationships across MENA. A highly regarded broker, he brings nearly 20 years of broking and underwriting experience, market expertise and technical ability that will help to deepen Tysers’ client relationships across the region.

Souvik will focus on supporting Tysers’ Treaty solutions and developing its reinsurance portfolio in the Middle East and Indian Sub-Continent through its Dubai and Riyadh offices. Working closely with Philip Smith, Reinsurance Director, Souvik will also play a key-role in growing Tysers’ Bangladesh Treaty portfolio.

Anthony Harris, Senior Executive Officer Tysers Dubai, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Souvik to the Tysers Team. He brings additional leverage to our treaty portfolio and to our operations in India and Bangladesh. His experience and market knowledge will be invaluable in driving growth and exploring new opportunities as we expand into wider markets.”

Souvik said: “I am delighted to join a company which combines traditional business values with an innovative approach to developing new products. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with such a prestigious and ambitious broker as it embarks on an exciting future as part of the AUB family.”
