Dominik Strobel is a brand stalwart and an award-winning business leader within the luxury hospitality sector. As GM, he will oversee the boutique 5-star hotelโs entire operations and usher in a new era of growth and expansion for Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi.ย
From the UK and Kyiv to Abu Dhabi, Dominik worked across prestigious Hyatt properties across the world since he started his career almost two decades ago as the Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency, Johannesburg.
Next, he joined the Hyatt Regencyโs Mainz, Germany where he continued his upward trajectory. As a growth-focused and mission-driven leader, Dominik moved up the ranks and joined Hyatt Regency Birmingham, UK, as Director of Operations. Spearheading key operations for the 319-room property, Dominikโs service excellence, sophisticated sales and marketing management, and innate capacity to cultivate strong relationships proved to be game-changing for the rapidly improving business volume for the luxury hotel.ย
Serving Hyatt properties around the world
A few years later, Hyatt Place, West London, hired the ambitious hospitality leader as the hotelโs General Manager. Once again, Dominik proved his mettle by growing the propertyโs RevPar penetration, envisioning and enhancing a new dining experience, โZoomโ, which was then implemented in new Hyatt Place branded hotels throughout Europe. Dominik also helped bolster the luxury propertyโs contributions towards team cohesion, business growth, and community care, thus enabling Hyatt UK to become recognised as The Best Place to Work in the UK.
Over the next 3.5 years, Dominik held the reigns at Hyatt Regency, Kyiv, Ukraine, where his work ethics and leadership expertise helped secure the hotelโs position as the third most profitable property in the EMEA regionโs portfolio and seventh in the world for the Hyatt Regency brand. Dominik also consistently attained record financial results across all the properties he managed.
