HIMA, a leading provider of safety-related automation solutions, is pursuing a clear strategy to strengthen customer partnerships in key markets and enhance collaboration between its partners, sales and engineering services. The latest example is the new head office in the Middle East region.
HIMA has been present in the Middle East region for over 20 years, serving an installed base across the 82 countries and building partnerships to be closer to customers. HIMA Middle East opened its new Head Office in Jebel Ali, Dubai, on the 28th of February, 2023, strengthening its presence in the region. During the opening event, Managing Partner Steffen Philipp, CEO Jörg de la Motte, CFO Michael Löbig and HIMA Middle East Vice President Andrew Dennant, welcomed customers, guests and the local authorities.
The HIMA Group continues to invest in the Middle East as the business focus in the region transitions from serving traditional hydrocarbon processing industries to serving customers who are increasingly delivering energy from renewable sources.
“By expanding our market presence in the Middle East, we are confirming our long-term commitment to supporting our customers and partners in this important region”, stated Steffen Philipp Managing Partner of HIMA.
As customers across the Middle East, Africa and the CIS countries, move towards digitalisation in functional safety in the Process and Rail industries, HIMA has co-located a wider range of expertise in the region.
“Our approach is to help customers within the region digitalize functional safety with added value. The investment in the new office is to enable further growth within the region in line with the long-term development of HIMA”, emphasized Jörg de la Motte, CEO at HIMA.
The facility houses a centre of excellence for Project Engineering, Lifecycle Services, and Product Support that is available 24/7 with a strong focus on sustainability. The installation of water-saving washroom facilities reduces the building’s overall water consumption by as much as 80%, and an air dispersal feature saves up to 30% of the annual electricity consumption, resulting in a potential 76% carbon footprint reduction in these two focus areas. The new HIMA Inspiring Work concept facilities hybrid working and collaboration with customers regardless of the nature of the expertise that is required.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer, Parks and Zones, DP World UAE said: “At Jafza, safeguarding the interest of our customers has always been one of our top priorities. We are proud to have companies like HIMA Middle East, that share our commitment to safety, as part of our Jafza family. The company has focused on enhancing safety in the Middle East for over 20 years, playing a vital role in safety and security, and we are delighted to celebrate the inauguration of its new office and expansion in Jafza.”
“We have industry, application, cybersecurity and product expertise headquartered here in the UAE. Our goal is to be as close to our customers as possible as we double our safety-related automation solutions business within this region, and our new head office is a key enabler of our plans”, commented Andrew Dennant Vice President at HIMA Middle East.
