Burgan Bank is continuing its sponsorship of Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah’s (DAI) 27th cultural season; an effort that stems from the Bank’s committed social responsibility program and its special focus on the development of Kuwait’s culture scene. The sponsorship of DAI’s 2022/2023 season marks a major milestone for Burgan’s 2023 social calendar – and builds upon the Bank’s broad range of strategic social partnerships.

The latest edition of the DAI cultural season includes an array of diverse cultural and musical events and activities. Amongst the many notable events: an evening with the esteemed pianist and composer Evgeny Khmara, in partnership with the Ukrainian embassy; an oriental music night on the qanun featuring the renowned maestro Bassam Al-Baloushi; and various other events curated for the connoisseurs of music and fine art.

Since its launch in September 2022, the 27th cultural season – which coincides with DAI’s 40th anniversary – has presented its visitors classical theatre performances, in addition to wide range of performances. This is in addition to numerous weekly lectures with the participation of a select group of local and international experts and professors. The cultural season has additionally hosted a number of exciting workshops, the most notable of which being an Arabic calligraphy workshop, as well as 14 musical nights that presented a range of different genres such as classical, oriental, and contemporary. Other cultural events included children’s activities, the Fall Festival, and a World Museum Day celebration.

On this occasion, Mrs. Kholoud Redha Al-Feeli, Group Head – Marketing & Communications at Burgan Bank, commented: “Our continued sponsorship of, and participation in, the 27th Cultural Season speaks volumes of our commitment to the reinforcement of Kuwait’s cultural offerings and our unwavering efforts to bring the finest of world art to Kuwait. It also reflects long-standing support as a nation to fine arts, which have long been an integral part of our rich heritage.”

Al-Feeli added: “At Burgan Bank, we greatly value the strategic partnership that has connected us to Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah for years. This is a partnership which continues to grow under the umbrella of our comprehensive social responsibility strategy, and which we are proud to say continues to result in tremendous initiatives that successfully elevate the culture scene in Kuwait.”

It serves to note that Burgan Bank spares no effort in its contribution to the comprehensive development of Kuwait across all fields, including culture and arts. Accordingly, the Bank continues to sponsor and participate in the events launched and organized by the specialized national institutions and bodies, in addition to sponsoring various similar activities as part of its comprehensive social responsibility program.
