Being at the cusp of Industry 4.0, Indonesia witnessed a record 11.8 million cyberattacks in just the first quarter of 2022. The archipelago even suffered the highest number of ransomware attacks throughout Southeast Asia which accounted for 1.3 million.

The situation went a few notches above the countryโ€™s threshold when attacks on Indonesian FIs in 2022 became 252% above the global average. Moreover, it has been estimated that the large and mid-sized companies in the country have to incur losses of up to $6.7 million and $33,500 respectively.

In the aftermath, Indonesiaโ€™s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) has been deployed to create 121 computer security incident response teams (CSRIT) by 2024 and the country is emerging as the fastest-growing cyber security market in the world.

To promote collaboration between the public & private sectors and curb the efforts of malicious actors, Tradepass is hosting the 6th edition IndoSec on 29 โ€“ 30 August 2023 at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place. The event will host 700+ cybersecurity experts including the Heads of Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Forensics, and Cyber Law from the leading public and private enterprises across Indonesia.
