The situation went a few notches above the country’s threshold when attacks on Indonesian FIs in 2022 became 252% above the global average. Moreover, it has been estimated that the large and mid-sized companies in the country have to incur losses of up to $6.7 million and $33,500 respectively.
In the aftermath, Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) has been deployed to create 121 computer security incident response teams (CSRIT) by 2024 and the country is emerging as the fastest-growing cybersecurity market in the world. Thereby all these imply that Indonesia’s CSF (Cyber-Security Future) is flourishing to new highs.
