ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading multi-asset class real estate developer and PIF-owned giga-project, held its first Commercial Bootcamp to empower general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with more upskilling opportunities in the industry.
According to Industry sources, the bootcamp was attended by local companies that stressed upon ROSHN’s commitment to boosting the capabilities of local contractors and diversifying the Kingdom’s economy.
According to Industry sources, the bootcamp was designed to boost the contractors with essential construction cost management skills, improving their competitiveness and aiding them to make informed financial decisions. In the BootCamp, participants learned to develop accurate cost estimates using effective methods and software tools. They also explored overall strategies to manage and control costs during projects, mitigate cost risks, navigate changes, and maximize profitability through optimized financial management, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering.

Senior leaders from ROSHN’s commercial and procurement departments were joined by Industry experts like Dean Furey, Head of Real Estate for Turner & Townsend; Charlie Shepherd, Director of Cost Consultancy; Malungelo Msomi, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS); and Uwais Haroon, an Associate Director with extensive experience in refurbishment and new build projects across the UK and the Middle East.
