📅 13–15 August 2025 | 📍 Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

The Africa Food Show (AFS) Côte d’Ivoire 2025 is set to take place from 13 to 15 August 2025 at the prestigious Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire. Part of a growing pan-African series that has successfully hosted events in Kenya and Morocco, AFS Côte d’Ivoire is a vital platform connecting producers, buyers, innovators, investors, and policymakers across Africa’s agrifood value chain. This inaugural edition positions Ivory Coast as a regional hub for agro-industrial growth, investment, and sustainable development in West Africa.

Ivory Coast: A Key Player in West Africa’s Agrifood Economy

Ivory Coast stands as a leader in agricultural production and agro-industry, supported by forward-looking policies, infrastructure improvements, and sustainable farming practices. The country is the world’s largest exporter of cocoa and a leading supplier of cashew nuts and tropical fruits. Its agro-food sector contributes approximately 24% of the agricultural GDP and supports over 250,000 jobs nationwide. With a revenue surpassing 12,000 billion FCFA, the sector remains a cornerstone of Ivory Coast’s economic development.

In 2023, exports from the agro-food industry reached 7,500 billion FCFA, driven primarily by cocoa, cashew nuts, palm oil, and tropical fruits. Ivory Coast’s products reach global markets, including Europe, Asia, North America, and the ECOWAS region. Rising demand for processed foods, sustainable cocoa, and organic products creates promising opportunities for value-added production and exports.

Expanding Opportunities in Agro-Industry and Innovation

The country is investing heavily in agro-industrial zones and modern processing facilities to strengthen its food value chain. Agricultural technology adoption, including IoT, AI, and precision farming, is enhancing productivity and operational efficiency. These innovations, alongside expanding local processing, position Ivory Coast as a strategic destination for investors and businesses aiming to capitalize on growing global demand.
