REVYN, a peer-to-peer marketplace now live on iOS and Android, wants to turn that waste into income. And unlike every other resale app in the region, it does it with 0% seller commission.
The appetite is already showing. Since launching last month, REVYN has grown to more than 1,000 users and over 900 listings, an early signal of demand for a trusted, local place to buy and sell pre-loved items.
From fashion and accessories to homeware, electronics and books, REVYN turns what’s sitting unused into income and gives those items a second life instead of a landfill. Listing is free, the app is editorial in feel, and selling is designed to be as effortless as buying.
REVYN arrives at a pivotal moment for the UAE’s circular agenda. The country consumes around 500 million textile items a year, and globally textile waste has now reached 92 million tonnes annually. In response, the UAE has just launched Naseej, its National Initiative for Textile Circularity. And clothing is only part of the story: homeware, electronics and everyday goods follow the same throwaway path. REVYN is built to interrupt it.
Unlike resale apps that charge sellers despite calling themselves community-first, REVYN charges sellers nothing. It earns only through a transparent buyer-side fee of 10% plus AED 2.5 per transaction, so what you sell is what you keep.
“After years in corporate, I left to build this,” said Founder and CEO Federica Bonometti, who grew up reselling across Europe and the US. “I came to Dubai expecting that habit and found the appetite, but not the platform. So I built it.” Co-founder Malahat Peyvandi joined her to build REVYN out of Dubai Internet City as a premium, editorial-style platform.
REVYN is now opening a round to angel investors who want to back the leading peer-to-peer resale platform in the region.
