Andrew McDaniel appointed as Toshiba Head of European Retail Business

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions recently announced the appointment of Andrew McDaniel technology and business innovator as its Managing Director and Senior Vice President, Europe effective from January 15, 2022.

Andrew McDaniel, who is based in Ireland, will be overviewing all operations of the firm and will report to Rance Poehler, the Global President and CEO of Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions.

Poehler stated: “Europe is a dynamic market at the forefront of retail innovation. Many of our customers and partners are at home here. Aligned with our commitment to growing retail around the world, Andrew\’s proven track record and extensive experience developing technical solutions and business innovation is the right fit to lead our efforts to accelerate digital transformation and empower our amazing partners in the region.”

Expertise and Leadership Roles held by Andrew McDaniel

McDaniel brings forward 25 years of illustrious customer-centric technology industry experience leading from the front these tech-oriented firms and defining and implementing multinational digital transformation initiatives.

In Dell, he had previously held a number of global leadership roles. Here his primary focus was upon the firm’s strategies for Cloud and Enterprise Informatics and the progress of client-based solutions for the large and medium-sized firms and public sector across the European territory.

McDaniel stated: “This is a pivotal moment for Europe\’s retailers and partners as they work to become more agile and resilient in the face of constant change.” He continued by stating further: “It is also a pivotal moment for Toshiba as it strengthens and expands its technology, software, and services resources based on deep industry knowledge and proven expertise and collaboration with partners across the region. My role will be to arrange these incredible resources in a way that enables retailers to transform and create more growth opportunities for our partners across Europe.”
