As airfares to popular visa-free destinations like Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan surge by up to 300% ahead of the National Day holiday, with round-trip tickets exceeding Dh2,800, UAE residents can still find more affordable options elsewhere.

“Travel demand during the National Day holiday, from November 30 to December 3, is always high,” said Bharath Aidasani, managing partner at Pluto Travels. “This year, the price hikes have caught everyone by surprise.”

However, travel experts suggest destinations like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Seychelles, and Zanzibar, where airfare remains more affordable.

Beach Destinations

For those seeking a beach escape, “Seychelles and the Maldives are top picks for UAE residents,” said Bharath Aidasani, managing partner at Pluto Travels. Both destinations are known for their pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil surroundings. “With the rising demand during the long weekend, we recommend booking early to secure a seat,” Aidasani added.

Mountain Destinations

For adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan offer breathtaking mountain landscapes. “Travel time to these countries is under four hours, making them ideal for a short holiday,” said Geoffrey Salatan, CEO of Geof Travel. These destinations boast rugged terrains, majestic peaks, and unique cultural experiences. “The cool weather and diverse activities make them popular choices for UAE residents,” Salatan noted.

Scenic Destinations

Zanzibar is quickly gaining popularity among UAE travelers. “Zanzibar’s stunning landscapes and unique experiences are attracting more interest,” said Pavan Poojary, a travel consultant at Luxury Travel.

Travel industry experts are seeing a surge in inquiries as UAE residents finalize their holiday plans. “Bookings are increasing, and we expect fares to rise as the holiday approaches. We advise travelers to book early to avoid higher prices,” Aidasani warned.

For UAE residents planning a National Day holiday getaway, several visa-free destinations offer exciting alternatives beyond the usual choices of Georgia and Armenia. Seychelles and the Maldives are top picks for beach lovers, with their pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and luxurious resorts. Due to high demand, early bookings are crucial to lock in reasonable prices. In Seychelles, visitors can explore the islands more freely, while in the Maldives, most travelers tend to stay within their resort due to the remoteness of its atolls.

For adventure seekers, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan present stunning mountain landscapes, ideal for short trips with flight times under four hours. These destinations provide a perfect escape for nature lovers who don’t want to spend much time traveling.

Zanzibar is also becoming increasingly popular with UAE residents. Known for its scenic landscapes and cultural richness, it offers a blend of relaxation and exploration at more affordable rates compared to the more in-demand beach destinations.

With rising demand, travel industry experts suggest booking early to avoid price hikes. If you’re looking for a reliable way to book your tickets, the MyTickets.ae service offers a convenient platform for purchasing air tickets, ensuring a smooth and comfortable booking experience for your holiday travels.

For the best deals, it’s recommended to secure your travel plans as soon as possible.
