Marine solutions specialist Ecocoast has been appointed by Xylem, a global provider of water and environmental monitoring technologies, as its Authorised Systems and Service Partner for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).ย
Industry sources added that this partnership strengthens Ecocoast’s environmental monitoring solutions portfolio across the GCC through the integration of proven Xylem sensing technologies, including YSI and Aanderaa instruments, into the systems it supplies and services for clients across the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.ย
Xylem instruments will be integrated with Ecocoast’s configurable data buoy platforms, delivering real-time environmental intelligence for marine and coastal applications. Usually, marine projects are monitored through occasional manual sampling followed by lab result wait time. With the Xylem integration, the monitoring buoys provide continuous protection and alert the operator immediately. This helps early detection of oil spills and other emergencies while keeping critical operations and the marine environment safe. ย
Combining water quality, oceanographic and meteorological monitoring, the end-to-end solution supports ports, marinas, coastal developments, offshore operations, environmental compliance programmes and marine research initiatives.ย
Industry sources further added that Ecocoast has already demonstrated this integration capability through several regional deployments incorporating Xylem technology. At a water and power plant on Saudi Arabiaโs Red Sea coast, Ecocoast locally assembled, configured, tested and commissioned a YSI DB1750 Multi Purpose Metocean Buoy, integrating an LDI ROW oil spill sensor and Campbell Scientific logger with cellular telemetry. Live data is streamed to Xylemโs YSI HydroSphere platform for remote monitoring.ย
In Dubai, Ecocoast delivered a similar system for a major water utility, applying the same locally assembled, fully commissioned approach.ย
Supported by dedicated facilities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Ecocoast provides regional integration, deployment, maintenance and technical support across both its own technologies and partner solutions. ย
Ecocoast has also provided sensor repair and YSI DB1750 reconfiguration services for a private island development in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, alongside sensor servicing, repairs and annual maintenance contract calibrations for multiple clients in the UAE.ย
