It further added that: “The numbers show that DED Trader has proactively supported the growth of e-commerce in the UAE and encouraged a growing number of consumers to shop online.”

About ‘DED Trader’

The DED Trader licence was tossed by the Business Registration and Licensing sector of the Dubai Economy to sustenance up of the start-ups in Dubai. From its promotion in 2017 to December 2020, an overall 9,949 licences were issued.

Out of the licenses released, more than half (57 percent) went to female entrepreneurs for empowering a female entrepreneurship expansion in the territory.
