Microsoft onboards Tareq Hijazi as UAEs Public Sector Director

Microsoft recently announced the appointment of Tareq Hijazi to be the UAEs new public sector director. Tareq Hijazi had earlier been deputed as former director in the companyโ€™s Consulting Services division.

The firm also announced that he possesses 20 years of service expertise and is a Microsoftโ€™s veteran joined the services in 2001 as a Technology Specialist. He had headed the GCC territory in 2006 powering Microsoft Gulfโ€™s Account Team Unit for the Enterprise segment.

In the late 2010, Tareq was chosen to represent as the Country Manager for Bahrain, Oman, and he moved back to Dubai in 2014 to power in the Small and Mid-Market Solutions and Partners group for Microsoft Gulf.

Since 2018, Tareq has managed Microsoftโ€™s Services business for the GCC and then for UAE, serving as a perfect guide for the business and its clients to accomplish in robust outcomes throughout a challenging three-year period.

Statement from Tareq Hijazi, Microsoftโ€™s UAE Public Sector Director Commenting on his new position, Hijazi stated, โ€œMicrosoft has always been a staunch ally to the UAE government in its pursuit of economic diversification and the building of a sustainable and inclusive future for its citizens and residents. I look forward to continue to build on that success, as we enable public sector organizations to build capacities to compete in the global digital economy.โ€
