ACE Travel CEO Sarah Wilson nominated for 3 awards by IOD 2021

The IOD awards gives the business community a chance to acknowledge the excellence and professionalism of directors from across the UK. ACE Travel ATG UK’s CEO Sarah Wilson has been selected as a finalist for three awards at the 2021 Institute of Directors (IOD) East of England Director of the Year Awards.  Sarah has been nominated as Director of the Year in the Innovation, Social Value and Sustainability Impact, and Small – Medium Business categories.

The Director of the Year – Innovation award recognizes directors who have successfully implemented a transformation, restructuring or remodeling of their services in 2021. The Social and Sustainability Impact award commends directors who have demonstrated their commitment to the fight against climate change. And the Director of the Year – Small – Medium Business award acknowledges business leaders who have overcome challenges relating to COVID-19 and drive forward their business plan, exceeding their objectives for the past 12 months.

Sarah Wilson has been subjected as instrumental in ACE’s development since taking over as director three years ago, driving a number of schemes which has seen the business reach the level of achievement corporate travel management. 

The annual IOD East of England Director of the Year Awards claims to serve as a great opportunity to highlight the significant contributions Sarah has made to the social and economic prosperity in the business travel community.

“I’m very grateful to be nominated for three awards by the Institute of Directors, especially given the challenges we’ve had to endure as a business the past 18 months. It’s been incredibly tough at times but recognition like this makes it all worth it,” said Wilson.

She continued, “These nominations wouldn’t be possible without the whole team’s efforts, they’ve been there to support me whenever I’ve needed it. I look forward to us all celebrating with the rest of the nominees next year.”

The awards will take place on Friday 7th January 2022 at the Radisson Stansted Hotel.
