The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) recently held the first meeting of the Real Estate Academy Committee, aimed at spreading awareness of the training academy programmes, and expanding its offerings.

The meeting discussed the mechanisms for activating the real estate training academy, which was announced last November, in partnership with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, on the sidelines of the opening of the “Cityscape Bahrain 2022” exhibition.

The academy aims to further sustaining the real estate sector by developing professional and technical capabilities in the field and providing them with cognitive skills based on modern scientific programmes.

On this occasion, His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority affirmed that the launch of this academy comes within the implementation of the national plan for the real estate sector. Indicating that the training programmes offered will contribute to achieving sustainability for the sector.

“The goal is developing the professional capabilities and competencies for the real estate practitioners, through the acquisition of knowledge skills based on modern scientific programmes, as the academy enhances their professionalism and opportunities to achieve excellence and growth for the institution they work in.” His Excellency added.

On his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh, Director of the BIBF mentioned that this meeting comes as a continuation of existing meetings and discussions between the BIBF and RERA, to come up with a clear vision for the goals and work process of the real estate training academy.

The meeting was attended by senior members at the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, namely Dr. Hamad Hazeem, Director of Information and Real Estate Development; Eng. Rasha Al-Sherooqi, Chief of Real Estate Training; and Mr. Mohamed Al-Ammari, Chief of Legal Section.
