HSBC partnered with Amideast to deliver a high-impact career development speaker series aimed at young Kuwaitis who are currently in university.

The program, called “Future Pathways – Careers & Opportunities in the Private Sector” hosted a series of speaker events to support Kuwait’s nationalisation plan, to motivate and increase the number of Kuwaitis working in the private sector. The latest event took place at Kuwait Technical College (ktech) to encourage students to consider careers in the private sector, and raise awareness of the skills necessary to perform a variety of job functions and to increase students’ knowledge of the various career paths open to them upon graduation.

The panel was moderated by Mr Samer Alabed, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Kuwait, and included senior speakers from HSBC – Mr Mohammed Alnassar – Head of Client Coverage, Commercial Banking and Mr Bader Alsalem- Head of Markets, as well as Senior Lecturer and author, Dr. Randa Diab-Bahman.  The speakers discussed their own career paths and achievements as well as the benefits of building a career in the private sector and the rewarding range of employment possibilities.
