Moody’s-Microsoft Partnership Boosts Generative AI-based Next-Gen Solutions

Moody’s Corporation and Microsoft recently announced a new strategic collaboration aimed at providing financial services and global knowledge workers delivering next-generation data, analysis, research, collaboration, and risk solutions. Industry sources were quick to add that this collaboration builds on Moody’s powerful data and analytics capabilities and the power and scale of Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI service to create innovative solutions. These solutions, powered by Microsoft AI, provide deeper enterprise intelligence and risk assessment insights based on Moody’s own data, analysis, and research.

Here are a few points of the Strategic Cooperation:

Microsoft and Moody are co-creating new products and services for research and risk assessment based on Azure OpenAI services to enhance data and risk management.

Moody’s CoPilot is an in-house automation tool that has been deployed to Moody’s 14,000 employees worldwide. The tool combines Moody’s own data, analysis and research with the latest large language model (LLM) and Microsoft’s world-class generative AI technology to drive innovation across the company and improve employee productivity in a safe and secure digital sandbox .

Moody’s will adopt Microsoft Teams to provide its knowledge workers and customers with a new platform to improve collaboration, productivity and communication while maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

For internal use and co-innovation, Microsoft is leveraging Moody’s broad range of solutions, including Moody’s Orbis, one of the world’s most powerful corporate repositories, as well as third-party references, counterparty risk assessments and supply chain management application.

Microsoft and Moody’s will collaborate on this opportunity to provide data to mutual customers through Microsoft Fabric. Microsoft Fabric is a new analytics platform for end-to-end data management.

Moody’s has pledged to use Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform to develop its growing generative AI capabilities and cloud-based applications.
