Q. HID Global is known for its expertise in identity solutions. Could you provide insights into the latest advancements and innovations in the fields of identity security and how HID Global is staying at the forefront of these developments?

Well, that’s a comprehensive question. We’re essentially experts in HID secure issuance, taking care of core personalization and providing secure identities to various sectors, including the government. This positions us uniquely as the market leaders, offering a complete range of printers catering to all needs, from high-security government projects to retail clients. Our solution effectively meets the diverse demands of our customers, defining our strong presence in the market.

Q. The world is witnessing a rapid shift towards digital identity and contactless technology, how is HID Global adapting to this trend? And what role do you see the company playing in the evolving landscape of digital identity and access control?

First and foremost, we are actively playing a significant role in this domain, aligning ourselves closely with digital technology. We perceive ourselves as pioneers in this regard. However, we recognize that in this specific market, particularly in the Middle East and Africa, traditional card-based applications and physical systems will remain relevant for some time. Nevertheless, as we look forward, we have various business units within our company, and we are strategically preparing for the inevitable shift toward digital technologies.

Q.  Security and privacy concerns are paramount in today’s digital age. What measures is HID Global taking to ensure the security and privacy of the identity data and access control system it provides to its customers, especially in the face of the increasing cyber threats we have now?

Again, in the context of security, we strongly believe that our solution serves the crucial purpose of safeguarding individuals, which remains of paramount importance to us. Recognizing the significance of security in the face of prevalent cyber threats, our offered solution continues to prioritize customer protection, effectively encompassing it as our topmost commitment.

Q.  HID Global operates on a global scale and is serving diverse industries. Can you share some examples of how your solutions have made a significant impact on specific sectors such as healthcare, finance, or government? And how do you plan to continue expanding your research in these industries in the future?

Speaking specifically about the Middle East and Africa region, which falls under my responsibility, our contribution to the emerging markets in Africa is substantial. These emerging markets often lag in the adoption of the latest solutions. Hence, it becomes our duty at HID to educate and inform them about our cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

Our focus is not merely on selling products, but on offering comprehensive turnkey solutions. We aim to assure them that the technologies they implement are impactful for the general populace. Thus, our role extends beyond providing technical products; it involves tailoring solutions to meet their specific requirements.
