Prevalon Energy LLC (Prevalon), a joint venture between Mitsubishi Power Americas and EES, announced its latest partnership agreement with REPT BATTERO Energy Co., Ltd. (REPT) to deploy battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the Americas region.

Industry sources added that the contract deploys Prevalon as the service provider for the REPT battery module fleet in the Americas. To date, Prevalon has successfully deployed 1.5 GWh of battery storage systems in North and South America using REPT battery cells. The companies are now taking the next step in their expansion partnership that aims for a near-term 10 GWh deployment in the Americas.

Industry sources affirmed that Prevalon and REPT will team together to customize the system, satisfy market demands, and ensure perfect integration between components. Teams have been partnering to surge functionality, security, and use case constructability through deep engineering cooperation.

The battery cell supply partnership is vital to our implementation strategy and our ability to offer reliable energy storage solutions to all of our customers in the Americas region.”

Dr. Hui Cao, Founder and President of REPT BATTERO, stated: “ Today marks an occasion that marks the world of renewable energy. Our partnership with Prevalon in the Americas represents a significant leap forward in our collective mission to transform the energy landscape. The Wending battery, with its impressive capacity and improved efficiency, epitomizes our dedication to innovation and sustainability. Together with Prevalon, we aim to accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions in the Americas and contribute to a greener future for all.”

Industry sources added that Prevalon’s new high-density (HD) 511 integrated energy storage platform is the firm’s most dense, modular, and scalable energy storage solution to date. The HD 511 will feature the latest long-form modules from REPT, built around the best-in-class 320 Ah Wending LFP battery. Featuring REPT’s proprietary Wending technology, designed to extend the charging cycle and increase performance, Prevalon BESS will achieve an impressive system energy density of 360 MWh per acre.

Industry sources also further confirmed that the system is factory-integrated and tested before delivery to the site as complete assemblies, which include factory-installed battery modules. To ensure site safety, passive and active fire detection and suppression systems are implemented. Prevalon’s proven energy management system provides seamless control integration through a utility-grade, US-designed, and built system that maintains the highest standards of cybersecurity compliance.
