BankDhofar is widening access to property ownership in Oman with competitive housing finance solutions designed to enable both resident and non-resident expatriates to purchase homes and investment properties in eligible Integrated Tourism Complexes (ITCs) and other premium developments across the Sultanate.

Under its Housing Loan for Expatriates, BankDhofar offers financing of up to OMR 350,000, with interest rates starting from 4.15%, for eligible properties in ITC projects registered with the bank and approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for sale to non-Omanis. The facility can finance up to 70% of the property’s value, with repayment periods extending to 20 years, making ownership more accessible to expatriates seeking to establish a long-term stake in Oman.

The financing covers a broad spectrum of residential options, including apartments, condominiums, villas and other qualifying residential units, giving customers the flexibility to select properties that match their lifestyle, investment objectives and financial capacity. The bank has also expanded its real-estate financing proposition to include properties under construction and off-plan projects through arrangements with developers of integrated residential communities.

The initiative comes as Oman accelerates the development of a new generation of integrated, lifestyle-oriented communities combining residential, tourism, leisure and commercial facilities. Established ITCs such as Al Mouj Muscat, Muscat Hills and Jebel Sifah, alongside major developments including AIDA and emerging master-planned communities, are expanding the range of high-quality properties available to eligible non-Omani buyers.

At the same time, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is advancing a pipeline of integrated urban and residential developments aimed at creating more livable communities, attracting investment and supporting sustainable urban growth. Together, these initiatives are reshaping Oman’s real-estate landscape and creating new avenues for individuals and investors to participate in the country’s long-term development.

BankDhofar’s housing finance offering complements these national priorities by helping translate the availability of eligible property into a practical ownership opportunity. For expatriates who live and work in Oman, the facility provides a route to put down longer-term roots in the country; for eligible buyers, it offers an avenue to invest in a market benefiting from expanding tourism, infrastructure and economic diversification.

The proposition also reflects Oman’s wider ambition to attract international capital and talent by making the Sultanate an increasingly attractive destination not only to visit or work, but also to live, own and invest. By providing housing financing for qualifying ITC properties, BankDhofar is supporting expatriates become participants in Oman’s next phase of economic and urban development.

BankDhofar is the second-largest bank in terms of branch network in the Sultanate of Oman, with more than 145 branches strategically located across the country. Through its extensive network, the Bank offers a wide range of banking solutions tailored to serve all segments of society, including women, youth, children, minors, and high-net-worth individuals. In addition, BankDhofar also provides specialized wealth management services for its affluent clients and their families, ensuring that their assets are managed securely, prudently, and with the highest level of confidentiality.
