Shukria, Mercury’s digital payments and business solutions brand, recently announced its collaboration with Mastercard to launch the Shukria Commercial Card, designed for merchants and other companies across the UAE. The move expands Shukria’s offering beyond payment acceptance, reinforcing its vision of equipping businesses with practical financial solutions that support their evolving needs in an increasingly digital economy.

The Commercial Card provides a secure way to manage supplier payments, procurement, travel, operational expenses, and other business-related transactions, with global acceptance. The innovative solution connects both established corporates and SMEs to modern payment and financial services.

Industry sources added that as companies continue to embrace digital transformation, they are seeking financial tools that combine accessibility, reliability, and control. Leveraging Mastercard’s global network, the Commercial Card strengthens Shukria’s portfolio of merchant solutions, complementing its point-of-sale (POS) terminals, SoftPOS, payment gateway, QR payments, payouts, loyalty, and business financing offerings to support a more integrated business payment experience.

Ravi Sehgal, Chief Business Officer, Mercury, said: “Shukria was created with the vision of making financial solutions more relevant for businesses of all sizes. Our collaboration with Mastercard is a natural extension of that vision, helping strengthen the financial ecosystem for merchants and supporting the continued evolution of the UAE’s digital economy.”

Gina Petersen-Skyrme, Country Manager, UAE & Oman, Mastercard, said: “At Mastercard, we are committed to building an inclusive economy where everyone can prosper. An integral part of our efforts is empowering companies to reach their full potential. The Shukria Commercial Card simplifies business payments and expense management, designed to help streamline cash flow while enhancing control, compliance, and visibility.”
