The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has received accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for six academic programs offered by its College of Computing and Information Technology and College of Engineering and Technology.
UDST’s six accredited programs were reviewed by three ABET commissions:
Computing Accreditation Commission for the following programs:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
Engineering Accreditation Commission for the following programs
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering โ Processing Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering โ Telecommunications and Network Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering โ Maintenance Engineering
Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission for the following program:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
ABET accreditation is awarded following a rigorous peer-review process in which academic programs are assessed against established quality standards covering curriculum, faculty, student outcomes, facilities and continuous improvement. This accreditation reflects the quality of academic and applied education delivered through these six UDST programs and the Universityโs commitment to preparing graduates with the knowledge and skills required for professional practice and the evolving needs of the job market in computing, engineering and engineering technology.ย

The College of Computing and Information Technology prepares students for careers across the information technology and computing sectors, while the College of Engineering and Technology offers education and training across a range of engineering and engineering technology disciplines. Both colleges use applied learning and practical training aligned with industry needs.
