AEC accomplishes its participation objective at Dubai Airshow 2021

Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) company, accomplished its objective and concludes participation objective in the 17th version of Dubai Airshow 2021, held within 14th to 18th November in Dubai, UAE.

AEC in the exhibition had a convenient platform displaying advanced solutions and technologies, as well as the engineering and manufacturing competence, as part of its defense and aerospace commercial sector.

AEC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pinnacle Solutions, a leading American firm in the innovation, development and manufacturing of defense and aerospace merchandizes and services. Commenting on AEC’s participation in the event, Eng. Walid Abukhaled, CEO of SAMI and Chairman of AEC, stated: “The presence of SAMI at Dubai Airshow through AEC, a pioneer in defense electronics, technology and manufacturing industries, offered us an opportunity to communicate with our regional and global partners in the aviation and space sector, and an opportunity to introduce to them our advanced air systems solutions and technologies.”

He further added to his statement, stating “The exhibition also provided us with a favourable opportunity to introduce the International Defense Exhibition that will be held in Riyadh after about four months, that we participate in as strategic partners, as it is scheduled to announce huge strategic partnerships and acquisitions, all of which aim towards localizing the military industries sector and knowledge transfer, technology and production to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the Vision 2030.”

For his part Eng. Ziad Al-Musallam, CEO of AEC, stated: “We are pleased to successfully conclude our participation in Dubai Airshow 2021, through which we showcased an advanced range of solutions and technologies within our defense and aerospace business and discussed with our strategic partners from the aerospace expanding horizons of cooperation.”

He further stated, “we confirmed, through this platform, our continued contribution to supporting the achievement of the ambitious goals of our Kingdom’s vision by increasing local content in the sector and empowering promising national talents in the company.”

As per the interim reports on the AECs Dubai Airshow participation, the firm represented its entire portfolio on display comprising of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), operations centre, electronic warfare (EW) products and solutions, drones, and simulation systems, among others.

As far as the Saudi Military Industries Company (SAMI) participation in the Dubai Airshow, it represented firm’s might with a number of advanced technologies and systems as part of its aerospace and defense electronics units, and the pavilion also comprised the exhibits from SAMI’s subsidiaries, the Aircraft Accessories & Components Company (AACC) and SAMI Composites company.
