Bahri named Shipping Company of the Year at Seatrade Maritime Awards 2020

Award recognizes the company’s efforts to overcome the challenges of the pandemic year and achieve sustained revenue growth.

Riyadh – 17 December 2020: Strengthening its unchallenged status in the maritime industry, Bahri, a global leader in logistics and transportation, was honored with the ‘Shipping Company of the Year’ award at the prestigious Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MEISA) 2020, which was held virtually on December 14, 2020, to honor outstanding performances in the maritime industry.

Bahri’s award is in recognition of the company’s outstanding performance during the COVID-19 pandemic and its commitment to delivering quality-driven services and strategies to achieve sustained revenue growth during challenging times. The company recorded a remarkable increase of 302 percent in net profit for the first nine months of 2020 to reach SAR 1.49 billion, and an increase of 114 percent in net profit during the third quarter, reaching SAR 314 million.

Now in its 17th year, Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa (MEISA) 2020 is the largest and longest-established awards program in the region’s maritime sector.
