OORI, the Saudi-based investment platform focused on private markets, recently announced a strategic partnership with Playbook, a leadership and career development platform for women, to expand private market investment education and help more female leaders participate in alternative investment opportunities across the region.

As women across the GCC take on greater roles as entrepreneurs, executives, investors, and wealth creators, access to investment knowledge has not evolved at the same pace. Private markets in particular have traditionally been more difficult to navigate, with limited access, higher entry barriers, and less widely available investor education compared with public markets.

Industry sources added that through the partnership, OORI and Playbook will bring private market education directly to Playbook’s community of female leaders, combining OORI’s investment expertise with Playbook’s regional network. The collaboration will include educational content and community sessions covering how private markets work, how professional investors evaluate opportunities, and how alternative investments can form part of a long-term wealth strategy.

Naif Alajmi, Co-Founder, Board Member and Head of Arranging at OORI, said: “Women across the GCC are building businesses, leading organizations, and creating wealth at an unprecedented scale. We believe their participation in private markets should grow alongside that. Our partnership with Playbook is about moving beyond awareness and creating a sustained pathway for more women to engage with an asset class that has historically been difficult to access.”

Wafa Al Obaidat, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Playbook, said: “Women Shaping Wealth was created to give women greater access to the knowledge, networks, and opportunities that can shape their financial futures. Our partnership with OORI builds on that mission by bringing private market education directly into the PLAYBOOK community. Through the partnership, our members will have access to practical insights and conversations that can help them better understand alternative investments and make more informed decisions as they build and manage wealth. We’re excited that this collaboration began at the Women Shaping Wealth Summit and will continue through dedicated educational experiences for our PLAYBOOK members.”

The partnership was announced at the Women Shaping Wealth Summit, held on September 28–29 in Riyadh, where OORI participated as a Learning Partner. As part of the summit, Nasr led a workshop titled “How Investors Identify the Winners Before Their Big Breakthrough, ”giving participants insight into how investors assess private companies, including their growth potential, investability, and potential returns.

The workshop marked the first activation under the partnership, which will extend beyond the summit through further educational and community initiatives, including a co-hosted webinar for Playbook’s community.
