Artificial Intelligence as well as the Robotics Arena to Power out the core Investment Trends

Continental Group, an insurance intermediary as well as financial services solutions providers within the GCC territory, emphasized that the Artificial Intelligence (AI)as well as Robotics and associated services, will be powering out the core trends within the investments during this particular decade.

The Survey also powered out the Megatrends, thematic equities, as well as broader adoption of the smart technologies figuring out the post-pandemic investment ecosystems in the meanwhile.

The discoveries were based on the current webinar discussion and a poll carrying principal voices in the financial industry together, to share their expertise, and demystify the market forces persuading post-pandemic investments.

Neelam Verma; Esty Dwek, head of global market strategy, Natixis; Karen Kharmandarian, senior portfolio manager, Thematics Asset Management were the foremost speakers, and the conference was moderated by Anselm Mendes, executive director of sales and technology, The Continental Group.

Kharmandarian, stated that, “As we gear up for the post-pandemic revival, this larger context was the perfect backdrop for the Continental Group to host a webinar on thematic investment strategies, and bring diverse ideas to the table. Such endeavours will help all our stakeholders to effectively navigate new challenges, and extract maximum value from the newly emerging digital investment classes.”

Esty Dwek stated as well, “As opposed to conventional investment instruments, thematic equities and ESG-related funds proved to be more resilient against pandemic headwinds. This was a precursor to the broader shift towards mega-trends around investments in the areas of environment, water security, green cities, and AI; which have significant long-term relevance.”

As per the Continental Group, there has been a current uptick in investment activity post an extended slump due to the pandemic. The fresh wave is also escorted by a renewed market outlook, encouraged focus on AI and robotics, and an enhanced transition towards thematic investments. According to the discoveries, 71 percent of the respondents approved that fresh technology trends will govern investments and 26 percent of the respondents selected for ESG impact investing while a small fraction of 3 percent opted for safety-related domains.
