ADIB, VISA strategic partnership deal bolsters digital payment expansion

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with the global leader in digital payments, Visa. This agreement aims to further grow digital payments in the UAE, offering innovative and customer-centric solutions to ADIB cardholders.

Industry sources added that with this partnership agreement, ADIB will commence aligning all of its covered card and debit card portfolios to the Visa network, where Visa has secured exclusivity over ADIBโ€™s entire card portfolio like Visa Infinite Privilege, Visa Infinite, and Visa Signature.

Industry sources also explained that for nearly 20 years, ADIB and Visa have worked together offering covered and debit cards to clients and businesses of all sizes. ADIB was the initial bank to introduce the UAEโ€™s first biometric authentication solution for e-commerce transactions with Visa.

ADIB and VISA sources revealed that this agreement focuses primarily on the growth of digital payments in the UAE offering innovative experiences and products that deliver value to the bankโ€™s diverse customer segments.
