Al-Futtaim Group and Ahl Masr Foundation sign partnership for medical infrastructure funding

Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE), Egyptโ€™s leading real estate developer, signed a partnership protocol with Ahl Masr Foundation; the first non-profit hospital and research center specialized in treating burn injuries;, to fully fund a medically-equipped double room. The signing ceremony took place at the hospital’s premises in New Cairo, and was attended by Eng. Ashraf Ezz El Din, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE), and Dr. Heba Elsewedy, Founder of Ahl Masr Foundation

The signing ceremony comes in line with the inauguration of the first phase of the hospital, which will be serving the entirety of the MENA region to offer free treatment to trauma and burn victims in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.

Underlining the importance of the recent agreement, Eng. Ashraf Ezz El Din, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE), said : โ€œAccidents can happen to anyone wherein resulting burn injuries can range from mild to very serious. With that in mind, our recent partnership with Ahl Masr Foundation, came into play to underline our commitment to relieving the burn victimsโ€™ pain and reducing their suffering for free., With the hospitalโ€™s state-of-the-art offering and highly experienced multidisciplinary team of physicians and surgeons, we are certain that victims will be re-integrated back to society with a healed mind, body, and soul. We are proud of our partnership with Ahl Masr Foundation which aligns with the group’s social responsibility.

Dr. Heba Elsewedy, Founder of Ahl Masr Foundation, praised the collaboration with Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) for its fundamental role in supporting and helping out with the preparations for the inauguration of the first phase. Dr. Elsewedy said: โ€œItโ€™s no surprise that a prestigious entity like Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) makes an invaluable contribution to emphasize its belief in the necessity of relieving the pains of burn victims; proving it to be a clear model for community engagement.
