James Marsh elected as RAK Properties CDO

RAK Properties PJSC, Ras Al Khaimah’s leading private property developer announces the appointment of James Marsh as their Chief Development Officer (CDO). 

Industry sources added that this is a part of the company’s ongoing transformation plan, aimed at accelerating growth and strengthening the real estate development pipeline.

James will be responsible for developing RAK Properties’ land bank, including master-planned communities that provide a variety of residential, hospitality, and commercial real estate.

Industry sources added that he brings over 25 years of proven experience across the real estate sector, particularly large-scale mixed-use property development, and is recognized for his ability to plan, implement, and turn complex projects into highly profitable investments, gained from his in-depth knowledge and industry experience across the Middle East, South Atlantic, and Indian Ocean regions.

Commenting on the appointment, Sameh Al Muhtadi Chief Operating Officer of RAK Properties stated, “With an exciting development pipeline across the Emirate, James brings the right balance of experience and professional expertise to realize our ambitious growth plans for the coming years. He will be involved in leading and promoting upcoming projects and will also work to help us to identify and advance our development pipeline for Ras Al Khaimah to compliment the RAK Vision 2030.”

He adds: “James joins us with a strong track record in property development, having successfully delivered projects with strong financial returns. He is perfectly geared to help our organisation to deliver growth across the core of our business.”

In his previous roles, James successfully implemented and managed over US$50bn of real estate developments, provided strategic advice and solutions on important government initiatives, and delivered growth to new and established real estate businesses.

Major projects completed in the Middle East include World Trade Centre, Yas Hotel and Al Mamoura in Abu Dhabi, and Al Naseem Hotel and Emaar Boulevard Towers in Dubai.

Prior to joining RAK Properties, James worked with leading developers, including Aldar, Modon, and Jumeirah Group in the UAE.
