SkyGrid and ENAIRE Collaboration Redefines Spain’s Digital Aviation Ecosystem

SkyGrid, a Boeing company pioneering high-assurance airspace integration, and ENAIRE, Spainโ€™s National Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP), have recently signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This strategic alliance is designed to accelerate the development and deployment of U-space and Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) across Spain.

Building upon a foundational relationship between Boeing Aerospace Spain and ENAIRE, this corporate partnership establishes a collaborative framework for advanced Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I). Together, both organizations will champion the safe, secure, and highly efficient integration of next-generation autonomous flight operations into the global airspace ecosystem.

The joint initiative focuses on driving systemic growth within the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) sector and establishing commercial infrastructure for advanced aerial mobility:

  • Airspace Digitalisation: Transforming traditional frameworks into a modern, digitalized, and sustainable ecosystem capable of seamlessly integrating new aerospace entrants.

  • Strategic R&D&I Initiatives: Leveraging global industry expertise to spearhead national and international innovation projects that redefine U-space capabilities.

  • Scalable Integration: Developing technical and operational solutions that guarantee the scalable, safe, and efficient management of autonomous flight traffic.
