KIMSHEALTH Group, a leading provider of healthcare services, has announced the launch of its interactive summer programme, “Discover Healthcare”, designed to introduce children and teens to the world of healthcare through a practical educational experience that combines knowledge, application, and exploration.
The programme will take place at the auditorium of KIMSHEALTH Hospital in Umm Al Hassam from August 19 to 21, 2026. It targets participants aged 10 to 16 years, with participation offered free of charge and limited to 35 participants per batch.
The camp offers a different experience from traditional health education methods. Over three days, participants will take part in 9 specialised sessions delivered by KIMSHEALTH experts and consultants, all based, hands-on participation, direct interaction, games, and educational challenges. The programme aims to help young participants understand their bodies in a simple way, acquire essential health skills, and build greater confidence in dealing with medical environments and communicating with doctors and healthcare providers.
The experience begins on the first day under the theme “Meet Your Body”, through practical activities that include a vital signs laboratory, an introduction to body cells, a a nutrition lab, educational games, and a lunch session with a doctor.
On the second day, participants will move on to the theme “Fix and Care”, covering topics related to neck health and excessive use of devices, oral health and nutrition, and health awareness challenges. The day will also include brain games and interactive exercises that simulate the medical thinking process in triaging and diagnosing cases.
The third day will give participants a closer look at the hospital working environment through the theme “Inside the Hospital”. Activities will include sessions on skin and eye health, an exploratory experience behind the scenes of medical work, and training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), with parents joining this session. The experience will then conclude with a white coat graduation ceremony.
Designed to create an impact that goes beyond the three days of the camp, the programme will provide participants with a “Junior Doctor Passport” to accompany them throughout the different programme stations, along with a certificate of completion, a special camp T-shirt, and the opportunity to acquire practical skills. These include using stethoscopes and blood pressure measuring tools, training in first aid and stethoscopes, taking part in diagnostic challenges, and preparing a short health awareness campaign as part of the programme activities.

This will help them gain the confidence to ask questions and understand healthcare more consciously, away from unreliable information they may come across on social media.”

The initiative reflects KIMSHEALTH’s direction towards expanding health awareness to include younger generations, by transforming the hospital into a space for learning, discovery, and interaction, thereby helping build a more positive relationship between young people and the medical environment. In particular, the programme aims to help participants understand their bodies, learn the basics of healthcare, acquire first aid and CPR skills, and enhance their ability to communicate with doctors and understand the importance of making informed health decisions.
KIMSHEALTH places special emphasis on providing a safe and organised experience for participants. All activities will be conducted under the supervision of the Group’s staff, while hospital access sessions will be limited to observation, simulation, and learning only, with no interaction with real patients or direct patient care. Participation also includes all materials and tools required for the programme, in addition to the camp T-shirt, snacks, and daily lunch.
The camp will take place over three days. Due to limited seats and the Group’s keenness to provide sufficient time for direct interaction with consultants, each batch will be limited to 35 participants, with registration closing once the capacity is reached.
