According to the Media Reports, the Energy Firm Sunseap Group is all set for the creation of the global major floating Solar Firm as well as Power Storage System on the Island of Batam in Indonesia.

The development is assessed to charge around $22 billion and it will be assembled on the Duriangkang Reservoir in southern Batam island, near Singapore. The construction is programmed to begin subsequent month and is anticipated to be accomplished by 2024.

The firm released a statement stating, “With a volume of 101.2 million cubic meters, it cares more than 50 percent of the freshwater supply to Batam Island.”

“The floating solar panels will help to reduce evaporation, thereby retaining more water within the reservoir. Simultaneously, the water will keep the solar panels cool, thereby generating more clean energy and creating a synergistic relationship.” The energy produced and stored will be utilized to source energy round the clock.

Some of this energy will be disbursed on Batam while the rest could be distributed to Singapore almost 50 kilometers away using a subsea cable. The energy firm is also scheduling to set up an academy in Batam to funding the hiring and shifting of skills to more than 3,000 natives to be elaborated in the project.
