Vodafone in Oman has signed an agreement to join forces with the Oman Food Bank (OFB), as it continues its mission to positively contribute to the lives of people in the Sultanate. The deal will see Vodafone back the OFB’s goals to provide food supplies to low-income families across Oman, support Oman’s food security efforts and raise awareness on importance of food preservation. Vodafone’s contributions will impact low-income families across the Sultanate, continuing to build the company’s growing reputation as a socially responsible organisation in line with Oman’s national agenda.
The OFB, a non-profit entity, specialises in distributing food to beneficiaries across the Sultanate. It also supports partnership and awareness throughout society, led by the concept of social solidarity. The national initiative supports Oman’s 2040 vision of a circular and green economy as one of the country’s most important pillars of food security.

Eng. Bader Al Zidi, Vodafone Oman CEO, said: “We are proud to have completed this agreement with the Oman Food Bank, which for many years has been tireless in its work to support the less fortunate across the Sultanate. This partnership will allow Vodafone to enhance OFB’s commendable work thus far and to help improve the lives of families throughout Oman.”
Eng. Ibrahim Al Hosni, Chairman of Oman Food Bank, said: “Vodafone has impacted many lives since entering the Omani market in early 2022. Today, we look forward to be joining our hand together for the good of Oman and its people, helping many across Oman and boosting their quality of life.”
The collaboration with the OFB is part of an ongoing, multi-faceted campaign of initiatives from Vodafone, based around positive social impact. Most recently, that included raising more than OMR 100,000 for charity via a ground-breaking live auction of special gold and diamond phone numbers.
