Independent global professional services firm Praxis has announced a major leadership expansion. The firm appointed Ameer Khan as the new Head of Fund Operations GCC. This strategic move directly strengthens its rapidly growing Corporate & Funds division across the Middle East.
The key appointment highlights the firm’s ongoing commitment to the regional financial sector. Praxis continues to invest heavily in specialist expertise, advanced capabilities, and robust infrastructure. This ensures the company meets rising demand for its dedicated fund administration services.
Deep Regional Expertise
- Vast Experience: Khan brings 17 years of deep industry expertise to this critical executive role.
- Proven Track Record: He previously managed complex fund operations at the global financial services firm Apex Group.
- Comprehensive Lifecycle Skills: His background spans investor onboarding, transaction processing, AML compliance, and strict regulatory reporting.
Driving Scalable Growth Across the GCC

Based in Dubai, Khan will work directly with Chris Gibbons, Group Head of Corporate & Funds. He will spearhead fund operations across the GCC to build a highly scalable, client-focused platform. This leadership ensures the firm effectively manages increasing institutional fund volumes.
Robert Fearis, Group CEO of Praxis, said: “As a key growth market, we continue to invest in the people and capabilities required to support our long-term ambitions in the Middle East. As client demand continues to grow, it is essential that we invest not only in governance and regulatory expertise but also in the operational capability required to deliver consistently excellent service. Ameer brings valuable operational expertise and leadership experience that will further strengthen our offering in this space.”
Praxis holds a decade-long track record in the Middle East financial sector. It remains the longest-standing holder of a Fund Administrator licence in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). The firm continues to see soaring demand from family offices and asset managers.
Commitment to Market Leadership
The strategic hire reflects the firm’s broader plan for market domination. Alongside recent senior appointments like Brian Reilly, the company is building an elite regional platform. These investments position the firm perfectly for its next ambitious phase of corporate growth.
Ameer Khan said: “Praxis’ long-standing presence in the Middle East, combined with its continued investment in corporate and fund services, makes this an exciting time to join the business. I am looking forward to contributing to the continued growth of the Corporate & Funds division and supporting clients across the region.โ
